The Pasta Bowl Company is undoubtedly one of the best places in Delhi NCR serving authentic Italian cuisine. Also this is the only place in Delhi NCR serving authentic Sicilian cuisine as well. I recently went to this restaurant for a weekday dinner and the place was jam packed. Located in the Crosspoint Mall it is close to the IFFCO chowk metro station and has a very cosy vibe about it. The décor is minimal yet beautiful. The service is one of the finest I have seen in recent times. The staff is extremely well trained and knowledgeable.
I began my meal with their in house bread which was freshly baked and tasted divine. No Italian meal is complete without wine so next up was Cabernet Merlot, one of the finest red wines I have tried in recent times and is from Italy. Next came Bruschetta Cipolla, which was onions tossed in balsamic sauce topped with goat cheese served on a bed of homemade Tuscan bread. Never thought I would like a bruschetta so much, the balanced flavours of sweet and tangy was absolutely divine.
Beetroot and Peach Salad, the combination of fresh mint with peach appealed to my palate a lot, suffice it to say I ended up gobbling it. And also this was the moment when I opted to try the Pinot Bianco Chardonnay which is a fine white wine with Italian origin. Next up was Ravioli di Spinaci, perfectly cooked ravioli stuffed with spinach and cheese topped with butter garlic sauce, must try for pasta lovers. Risotto funghi con olio di tartufo, undoubtedly this was my favourite out of the lot. This portabello and porcini mushroom risotto topped with truffle oil was to die for, I finished this all by myself.
Lastly, let’s come to the desserts. Tiramisu, no Italian meal is complete without trying the tiramisu and this layered dessert of mascarpone, coffee, Kahlua with a side of almond biscotti didn’t disappoint. Banana e Crema mou Torta, for the first time I tried bonaffie pie in tart form and found it to be absolutely fantastic. One of my all-time favourite desserts, the combination of banana and toffee never disappoints. Crostata Italiani del Giorno, this is tart of the day and I was lucky enough to get chocolate tart that day. Suffice it to say this was a perfect ending to a fantastic meal. This chocolate tart was my favourite out of all the dessert. I absolutely devoured this rich decadent dessert.
Summing up, I enjoyed a fine Italian meal at this restaurant and it didn’t leave anything to be desired for. Beautiful ambiance, delicious food and peerless service culminated into a perfect meal.
