The Forresta – For some delectable Rajasthani delicacies

Based on the forest theme this place actually has a very calm ambiance. The basic idea of this place is to give you the feel that you are enjoying your meal amidst a forest. The entrance makes you feel like you are going through a thick tree cave. The bar is situated in the center, has covered as well as uncovered seating area and also has a separate smoking zone. The service is commendable.

In cocktails I drank, Three Wise Men which was a concoction of Johnnie Walker, Jim Beam and Teachers. Combination of three whiskies and absolutely lethal. Greateful Dead, well what spiked my interest in this drink was the name. Made with tequila, vodka, white rum, gin and raspberry, this was quite potent and enough to get you high.

In starters I ate, Shammi Kebab, these were soft and had a lovely spicy tinge to it, tasted divine. These are highly recommended. Tandoori Broccoli, the broccoli was marinated with mustard which bought out a complete different flavour. Enjoyed this dish quite a lot.

Coming to the main course, I ate Dal Makhani, which was quite rich and creamy, really liked this preparation. Keema Baati, this Rajasthani preparation of minced mutton was one of the most unique dishes I have ever tasted, highly recommended. Junglee Maas, one of the spicy mutton preparation in rich gravy, this whole spices preparation was again fantastic.

Ended the meal with Gulab Jamun, which was soft and delicious. Summing up, I enjoyed a nice dinner at this place. The food was definitely the highlight of this evening.
